Pupils raise £470 for CLIC Sargent

Enthusiastic year 6 pupils from Primrose Hill Church of England Primary Academy raised £470 in an hour and a half at their annual CLIC Sargent coffee morning.

“Once again our wonderful Year 6 pupils did a fantastic job hosting the annual CLIC Sargent coffee morning, raising funds for children with leukaemia and cancer.  They had written invitations to parents, governors, staff, families and the local community inviting them to share a cup of tea or coffee amongst friends,” said Principal, Vicki Henson.  In addition to designing menus and baking scones, pupils organised a range of activities including a cake competition, a raffle and ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’.

“Dozens of people came along to support the pupils' hard work and we are really proud of their fundraising efforts.  Thanks also go to Mrs Cook and Mrs Drew for supporting pupils to organise the event.”  The donations will be presented to CLIC Sargent later in the month at the academy’s Celebration Worship.
