Hardwicke raise funds for Comic Relief

Pupils from Hardwicke Parochial Church of England Primary Academy raise £2289.78 for Comic Relief.

Pupils from Hardwicke held a non-uniform day to raise money in addition to organising a number of sponsored events.  “Each class then did a sponsored event to raise further funds. Fund-raising activities ranged from a sponsored silence to a sponsored football match to making bookmarks and a cake sale.” said Gina Kerrod, organiser and Key Stage 2 Teacher.

“We have never raised anywhere near as much as this before and I think that this was, in part, due to our class values assembly which was based on the theme of ‘justice’. The children focused on the world as a village and discussed issues of poverty. The whole event enjoyed tremendous support from parents
