Calling all DGAT Teachers & TAs!

Calling all DGAT teachers and teaching assistants!

TeachMeet Event Sponsored by RISING STARS

 Tuesday, 8th January 4.30-6.00pm @ Fieldcourt Infant School - Quedgeley, Gloucester GL2

You are warmly invited to DGAT’s very first TeachMeet, where you will get a chance to share good practice, new innovations and personal insights into teaching, as well as have some tea, cake and a good natter!

These will be organised, but informal events; at each TeachMeet we will have a lead speaker; for this event it will be Helen Tate, an EYFS Consultant, who will be explaining EYFS for all – for those teaching in other Key Stages it can sometimes seem like a different world! Some of you may already know Helen but for those of you that haven’t been ‘Tatefied’, she is an extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable practitioner, who can offer a real insight into Early Years and what it can mean for all of us as we support children throughout school.

At future events teachers will get a chance to offer a variety of nano (two minute) or macro (seven minute) presentations on ideas that they have used successfully in their classrooms. We know how successful the afternoon ‘sharing’ sessions were at last year’s conference at the Racecourse; we, as teachers, really appreciate the chance to see what other teachers are doing in their classes, no matter how seemingly simple. Sometimes these can be the things that make the most difference in our classes, so we will be looking for some brave souls who would be willing to share.

We really hope that you will be able to join us at the event – please let us know if you would like to attend by emailing jbuckland@glosdioc.org.uk, so that we can organise the right amount of refreshments/seating etc. There will also be an opportunity to win a Rising Stars £75 voucher so do come along!
