Governance

The Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust (DGAT) is an exempt charity which is limited by guarantee.  The company's Memorandum and Articles of Association is the document which details the company's constitution and defines the responsibilities of the directors.  The document also identifies the Objects of the Trust. The Trustees are guardians of the Academy Trust's vision. Trustees are responsible for directing the affairs of the charity and ensuring that it is solvent, well-run and delivers excellent educational provision within each academy. As an Academy Trust, DGAT has entered into a Funding Agreement with the Secretary of State for Education. The funding agreement provides the framework within which the academy must operate.
